REBEL BODY FITNESS is committed to being "MORE THAN JUST A GYM". At our core, we advocate for community health and prevention through resources and education. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than half of all Americans live with diseases related to obesity, poor nutrition, and physical inactivity.  Adult obesity in Mississippi has increased dramatically over the past 15 years and is expected to increase significantly in the next 20 years, demonstrating the highest adult obesity rate in the nation.  Our hope is that we can help communities learn how to manage their overall health better and create lasting habits that will last a lifetime. Rebel Body Fitness focuses on topics that are nutrition and exercise based including cooking demonstrations, exercise demonstrations, and fun fitness events, and has plans to serve Mississippi and other surrounding state communities in much broader ways as well.

    • Healthy cooking demonstrations are great ways to show community members how to cook in healthier ways, and how to explore different nutrition options.  Often, we hear that eating healthy is a major part of the equation when it comes to health and wellness, but many people just don't know where to start.  With our cooking demos, we provide practical, real life information that can help those from all demographic backgrounds and palates cook in nutritious and tasty ways.

    • Fitness demostrations help groups of people understand the importance of exercise, physical activity, and nutrition as it relates to the prevention of chronic disease and overall physical improvement in daily life. We do this by using an interactive format to get people moving and involved in the different demo components. Fitness demos typically consist of a question and answer session, a "Get Active" component, and a "Commitment" segment focusing on the importance of consistency in maintaining great physical health.

    • The goal of this event is to highlight healthy alternatives when eating out. We partner with local restaurants that are willing to create or bring tasty and healthy dishes to show that eating healthy doesn't have to be bland and unenjoyable. Through this event we are able to also raise money for local/national organizations dedicated to health, wellness, and prevention. The event is open to the public and showcases a diverse group of restaurants for all occasions, from fast food to fine dining.

A local venue is transformed into a child friendly zone where they can play games, test their knowledge to win treats, design their own personalized treat bag, and more! Local businesses/organizations host a series of games where winners can start filling their treat bags with prizes while learning about good nutrition.
